Off to the Granite Belt

Hi All,

Well we headed back home to catch up with the kiddy winks, all Spendiferous they were (tired but happy) and a quick wash - lucky it was a beautiful drying day. Ross had his stitches out finally and we were on our way to Stanthorpe.

30 years on the coast and we have never been that far inland. Took a while to drive through the bushland and we arrived about 4 - crisp, cold, clear and beautiful. Stanthorpeis a great wine and food destination sitting on the Great Dividing Range with stunning National Parks and granite outcrops. the town has some beautifully kept older buildings and is worth a walk. they obviously look after their town and it shows. Stay at Top of the Town Park - we seem to have lucked it so far - it was clean and well set out - we were right out the back - no noise, bush land views - a beautiful spot.
