We rolled into Canberra early afternoon and headed to the War Memorial first up as we had missed it last time due to politicians opening something or other. As usual it is very impressive with lots of interesting information, audio visuals and short films. It doesn't glorify war at all but is a strong reminder of the repercussions and the price paid by all. We spent all afternoon there.
Back to Eaglehawke Caravan Park and we are parked beside a couple from Darwin; Rocky and Judy. They have a great daughter Jessie who is an absolute delight. They also spend 6 months a year in Tassie, so we have lots to chat about. Great people and Ross snored each night - too many beverages I reckon.
Floriade next morning and we head of early to get a good parking spot. It lives up to its reputation and is so very pretty, very similar to England and the gardens there.
