Cute Comrie Cottage

Our Comrie Cottage is delightful. An Airbnb find, it is obviously well loved and the lady who runs it is great, she is working both days we are there at a castle, so we don't see a lot of her, which is kind of nice as we can pretend it is our house. She has it furnished beautifully, squashy sofas, lots of cushions and warm snuggle rugs everywhere. The kitchen is full of bright and colourful bits and pieces. A lovely spot to have a bit of a rest and relax and we can cook both nights - yay, you get sick of takeaway and eating out.

It is a whitewashed older cottage on about 40 acres, much of it woodlands that run down the mountain to the house at the back. It is a bright sunny day and it is all green and the cottage garden is over flowing with flowers. The garden has a great scarecrow to try and keep the deer out!

We see lots of birds and animals the next morning- rabbits, pheasants, finches and a field mouse as well as the tiniest rabbit I have ever seen right under our windows eating the tiny daisies. The last day as we are getting ready to head out a tiny little fallow deer prances out of the woods and across the garden, bouncing over the fence to the field of grass for a morning snack in the sunshine. Amazing end to a couple of lovely days.
